Deputation Update
June 10, 2008
Dear Friends and Family,
This past week brought some blessings as we spent some time with family and were reacquainted with some old friends. After we arrived home from Pennsylvania last Monday night, we quickly repacked the suitcases with a new batch of clothes for the girls – they outgrow everything in just a month or two. This can be a challenge if you are away from home for more than a couple months at a time! The girls dresses are long when we leave and short when we come home to repack. We forget how nice it is to be adults and not outgrow our clothes any longer!
On Tuesday, we had a short visit with family and left out again on Wednesday. Wednesday evening we went to the Agnew Road Baptist Church in Greenville, SC. Pastor Jeff Miller had been Jeremy’s music teacher in elementary school, and his wife was Jeremy’s fifth grade teacher. What a blessing to get reacquainted with them after all these years!
After the service on Wednesday evening we drove the rest of the way to Columbus, GA to stay with Esther’s parents for a few days. They live only about forty-five minutes from the meeting we had on Sunday in Lagrange, GA. Sunday evening we had a meeting at the Living Waters Baptist Church in Lagrange, GA. We also received word from the Calvary Baptist Church that they had voted to take us on for support!
We are excited to see God at work on our behalf! Please continue your prayers for us as we travel and prepare for Brazil. Thank you all for your faithful prayers and support!
With Grateful Hearts,
Jeremy and Esther Lockhart
