Deputation Update5/27/2008 Dear Friends and Family, How thankful we are this week as we remember those who have fought and died that we might have the freedoms we enjoy today! As these freedoms are slowly being taken away, we realize with what earnestness we must pray for revival. No political action or person can solve our problems, but only lives changed by the power of the Gospel. We have had an enjoyable week of deputation and are encouraged by some new supporting churches. On Monday we arrived back in Duncansville, PA in time for Jeremy to speak at a sports and awards banquet for the Christian School. What God could do through some of these young people if they will but let Him have their lives! Wednesday morning we received a call from Pastor Terry Coats of the Spruce Street Missionary Baptist Church in Lexington, NC to tell us they had voted us on for support. We thank the LORD for another supporting church. On Wednesday evening we did not have a scheduled meeting, so we dropped in at the Dry Run Independent Baptist Church in Duncansville, PA. The pastor let us give a testimony during the service and invited us to call and possibly schedule a meeting next time we are in the area. We arrived in Bassett, VA on Saturday evening and presented our ministry on Sunday morning at the Open Door Baptist Church. After the service, they voted to take us on for support. This has truly been an encouraging week as we have moved another step closer to our desired work in Brazil! We thank you all for your faithful prayers and support! With Grateful Hearts, Jeremy and Esther Lockhart |
