Deputation Update4/15 2008 Dear Friends and Family, This week we started out with spring weather and ended up in Ohio with winter again. On Monday we arrived home from our meeting in Apex, NC. All the trees were in bloom and the grass needed to be cut. What a blessing to see everything come alive again! Our home church had revival services this week with Dr. Ron Comfort, and we enjoyed getting to hear some excellent preaching. We had a close meeting on Wednesday evening at Tri-City Baptist Church in Forest City, NC. Pastor Cummins was one of our teachers in college, and we enjoyed the opportunity to share with the church our burden for Brazil. On Friday we left for Ohio. We split the drive up into two days for the kids’ sake and arrived on Saturday afternoon at our host’s house. This kind family blessed us with some home cooked meals and a nice place to rest. After being on the road and eating out so much, a home cooked meal becomes so much more of a blessing! On Sunday we had a meeting at a small country church in the middle of farming country in Ohio. This church was a great blessing to us, and we learned much while there. We were also encouraged this weekend to find out that the Schrock family, our team for Brazil, had their first meeting, and the church already voted them on for support! We look forward to the day when we can work together with them in Brazil! Please continue with us in prayer that God would lead us to the right churches that He would have partner with us in support for our ministry in Brazil. Thank you all for your faithful prayers and support! With Grateful Hearts, Jeremy and Esther Lockhart |
