Deputation Update

2/20/2008

Dear Friends and Family,

This past week our travels have taken us to Gaston, NC for a missions conference and then to Greenville, SC for a Sunday service.

We were blessed to be a part of the missions conference at Grace Baptist Church on Monday through Wednesday. The preacher for the week was Evangelist Billy Martin. We enjoyed sitting under his preaching and God did a work in our hearts. Pastor Agee also asked Jeremy to lead the congregational singing and Esther to play the piano on Tuesday and Wednesday. This was a joy as we don’t get to do that very often.

On Wednesday night the Bill Wright family, missionaries to the military came to finish out the conference—it’s a blessing when you get to see another missionary you know!

On Thursday morning we headed home to Shelby, NC and enjoyed some time to rest and relax on Thursday and Friday. You get so much more rest when you get to sleep in your own bed, and the kids get to sleep in their own cribs!

After our time of rest we headed out Saturday evening to stay in a prophet’s chamber in Greenville, SC. On Sunday, we went to the Freedom Baptist Church and were able to present our ministry that night. The assistant pastor was especially kind as he was put in charge of “the missionaries.” He, his wife, and their five children took us out for lunch Sunday afternoon and for supper in the evening. They had a daughter around Allie’s age, and the two had much fun eating together.

We are now in Rocky Mount, NC getting ready for another conference this evening. We are excited about what the LORD will do this week and are grateful for those of you who are praying for us as we travel!

With Grateful Hearts,

Jeremy and Esther Lockhart
