Deputation Update
1/21/2008
Dear Family and Friends,
Yet another week of deputation has passed and the LORD has been very gracious to us! We are presently in Hagerstown, MD and are leaving today for Bel Air, MD to stay in a prophet’s chamber for a couple days before our next meeting in Pennsylvania.
This past Wednesday and Thursday we were in a meeting at the Harvest Baptist Church in Hickory, NC. We were able to get into this missions conference less than a week before it took place. It was the first faith promise conference they have ever had, and they were excited to see what the LORD would bring in. The church was very gracious and kind to us and just today they called and said they had voted to take us on for support beginning in February! God also provided us a nice place to stay while in Hickory. Brother Spencer introduced us to a couple that go to Tabernacle Baptist Church in Hickory. They had a large house not too far from our meeting and gave us the whole upstairs to ourselves and also provided all our meals. It was a blessing to have a comfortable place to relax and get some things accomplished!
We were also blessed to get a couple more meetings lined up for the two gaps we had in February. Pastor Wynn from Lighthouse Baptist Church in Columbus, GA called us and said that he was looking at our itinerary and realized we didn’t have a meeting for the 3rd and the 7th of February. He had called a couple pastors in the area and scheduled us meetings for those days. Now, out of the entire month of January and February, we only have one Wednesday that we do not have a meeting!
It has been wonderful to see God work on our behalf. Today, we just finished a meeting in Hagerstown, MD with the Wayside Baptist Church. The Pastor and church were a great blessing to us. They provided a very comfortable motel room and all our meals as well as a love offering. It is very humbling to always be on the receiving end of things and have prayed that God would allow us to be givers in the midst of all our receiving. We are looking forward to seeing what the LORD has in store for us this next week!
Thanks for your prayers and support!
